It's a hot day down in Nice, where today's game will be played at the Allianz Riviera. In fact, this is the same stadium where the England men's team suffered the ignominy of being dumped out of Euro 2016 by minnows Iceland. Those in England will be hoping the women fare a bit better today on the south coast...
  • PRVW
Speaking of little...Scotland and Arsenal midfielder Kim Little will be the one pulling the strings for Kerr's side today, and will be determined to make up for the heartbreak of missing the Euros through injury two years ago.
  • PRVW
England are of course the overwhelming favourites for this all-British affair, winning 22 of the last 25 games against Scotland and finishing qualifying unbeaten. However, when the pressure is on in the World Cup, all of these stats will go out the window and count for very little.
  • PRVW
This is Scotland's first ever appearance at a World Cup finals, making this game an even bigger deal for former player Shelley Kerr's side. The two sides met at the Euros two years ago, where England ran out comfortable 6-0 winners. However, Scotland are much improved since then, beating Brazil, Denmark and Jamaica in the buildup to this tournament.
  • PRVW
So, the big news from England's lineup is the absence of star striker Toni Duggan, who has been struggling with injury all week and only makes the bench. For Scotland, striker Erin Cuthbert is fit to start, and will be their biggest goal threat up front.
  • PRVW
Scotland: Alexander; Howard, Corsie, Beattie, Docherty; Evans, Murray, Little, Weir, Emslie; Cuthbert
  • PRVW
England: Bardsley; Bronze, Bright, Houghton, Greenwood; Kirby, Walsh, Scott; Parris, White, Mead
