As always, thank you for joining us for the wonderful football of this Woman's World Cup. Good night!

FT: England 1-2 USA. The Americans are going through the final once again. A match no doubt worthy of a semifinal. Dramatic performance by both teams, with the USA proving superior in the end, and a disallowed goal and a missed penalty getting in the way for England, who got very close.
  • 95 '
Yellow card for Nikita Parris. She's very upset and her anger is getting the best of her now.
  • 92'
7 min is enough time to turn this around... This game is not over yet.
  • 90'
The crowd is beside themselves, and so are we. 7 min added to this second half.
  • 88 '
Daly out, Stanway in! She is visibly stressed out. Meanwhile, Parris is getting extremely agitated about the time USA takes over a throw.
  • 85 '
Bright is sent off with a double yellow card. Terrible tackle. Frustration is getting to the Lionesses now.
  • 84'
That wasn’t a good penalty kick, but it still required Naeher to guess the correct way. She’s America’s hero right now. It was the right decision to award the spot kick, by the way. Sauerbrunn did make contact with White’s boot from behind.
  • 83 '
PENALTY MISS FOR ENGLAND!! Too weak from Houghton!
  • 80'
    PENALTY GIVEN!!
  • 79'
The Lionesses HAD it!!!! White almost scores, but it is deviated!!! Possible penalty?????
  • 79 '
Heath out, the legendary Lloyd in!
  • 74'
Jill Scott providing some wonderful football for England. Very good touches. Can this lead to an equaliser?
  • 72'
Also a shame, as Walsh had been the Lionesses' best player till now. Running around for more than an hour takes it's toll.
  • 71 '
Jade Moore comes off the bench to replace Keira Walsh.
  • 70'
Shame for England, because that was such a lovely move.

And the goal is overturned... A player was JUST offside, but as we have now learned, VAR catches those things pretty well.
  • 67 '
GOAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!! ELLEN WHITE!!!!!!!!! AND THE SCORE IS LEVELLED!!!!
  • 65 '
Labelle falls injured, and she will have to be subbed. Hard blow for the player. Samantha Mewis comes in for her.
  • 63'
The USA are pressing England back. Heath dribbles into the box from the right and very nearly gets clear of Stokes, but the defender sticks to her guns and eventually runs the attacker out of play for a goal kick.
  • 59'
Lavelle has been providing most of this second half's danger. No wonder she's being fouled.
  • 58 '
Here's that change from Phil Neville. Fran Kirby replaces Beth Mead. It looks like Nikita Parris will be moved back out wide.
  • 56'
Lavelle is fouled, and again, both teams are becoming frustrated and angry. It's Alex Morgan who laughs ironically this time.
  • 51'
Two fouls in two minutes by England... The Lionesses aren't happy and their game is showing it.
  • 49'
Very messy action from England, who tries to go for goal but it is deflected by the goalkeeper. White's ironic face says it all. England are not looking like the bigger team right now. Palpable tension between the two teams.
  • 46'
FOX are reporting that Megan Rapinoe has suffered a hamstring injury, therefore ruling her out of today's semi-final. Painful blow for the player. No changes during the half time!
  • 45 '
Yellow card as a warning for Lindsay Horan.
  • 45'
    Second half underway!
  • 45'
HT: England 1-2 USA. Very entertaining semi-final this is becoming! A superb first half, with the USA opening the scoreboard in the first 10 min, and England reacting appropriately. The Americans have been dominating since the second goal, and the Lionesses' nervousness is not helping, but 15 min off the field may help. See you in a few!
  • 45'
1 min of added time in this first half.
  • 44'
    Corner for England.
  • 42'
Corner for the US, but it only leads to yet another corner.
  • 41'
Loads of fouling going on currently. The players are clearly getting increasingly more pressured and it's affecting the game.

Bright takes the firts yellow card of the game after her hand slaps Morning in the face... Inevitable booking.
  • 38'
Press nibbles at Daly’s ankles, much to the England midfielder’s annoyance.
  • 37'
The US had lost some of the domination since England's goal, but the champions are in their comfort zone again. Dominating possession and stepping up the rythmn.
  • 33'
WHAT A SAVE FROM NAEHER! The Lionesses almost equalise in the counter attack, but the American goalkeeper makes the save by a thread.
  • 32'
Too easy for Alex Morgan there, who scores a comfortable but clinical header to make the score 2-1 in the 31st minute.
  • 31 '
    GOAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! ALEX MORGAN!!!!
  • 28'
    First corner for England!
  • 27'
The US almost scores an own goal while trying to clear the danger!
  • 25'
Ertz loops into the England box from the right. Heath rises to head but is clattered accidentally by Bronze, the pair clashing heads. The USA want a penalty. The ball breaks to Lavelle, who sends yet another screamer goalwards. This one is parried away excellently by Telford.
  • 20'
The US had no dropped a gear until that goal, and Englnad wonderfully took the opportunity to make the score levelled. Some wonderful football being played.
  • 20'
VERY GOOD finish from White there! A superb pass from her teammate lands her straight into the goalkeeper's box, and there's not much the US can do about that! White nips in between Sauerbrunn and Dahlkemper, opens her body, and guides a glorious shot into the top right past Naeher. This match is only getting started folks.
  • 19 '
    GOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!! ENGLAND MAKES IT 1-1!!!!!
  • 16'
If you're into stats, The USA have still scored in the opening 12 minutes of every match at this World Cup. Just insane.
  • 15'
Labelle goes for goal from at least a good 20 yards out, but it is JUST over the bar!
  • 13'
The Lionesses need to calm their game and breathe. USA play with such high intensity, but England need to calm it down and play at their own pace.
  • 12'
The US had been creating some really good chances and putting the pressure on since the game started, so there is no surprise here. Still, Phil Neville's players should be able to answer accordingly.
  • 10'
Christen Press heads it in after a wonderful pass from Alex Morgan, who turns 30 today!
  • 9 '
    GOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!! USA OPENS THE SCORE!!!
  • 6'
The USA have started brightly. A free kick out on the left. Lavelle floats it in. Just too high for Morgan, who was free in acres six yards out. The England defence was all over the place!
  • 4'
Brilliant nutmeg from Labelle to Bright, which is worth mentioning. Real cheeky.
  • 4'
What a save! USA wanting to start off as they usually do: with a goal! Alex Morgan beautifully shoots the ball, but a great save from England prevents the current champions to start off wiht a goal.
  • 2'
England get the game started, White knocking the ball back to Houghton, who throws it long. The ball quickly comes back to her. Then a first touch for Bronze, who contemplates dribbling down the right but checks back. Quick start to the game, but you wouldn't expect anything else from a semi-final!

The stunning Stade de Lyon is awash with blue, white and red, fittingly the same colours of resident club, Olympique Lyonnais, with 27 degrees in the thermometer. England fans will have to make some noise tonight, as the USA fans have made the trip across the Atlantic in great number.

The winner will play the survivor of Wednesday’s semifinal, Sweden vs. the Netherlands, in the final on Sunday. The loser will trudge off to Nice for Saturday’s third-place game.

This game is a BIG ONE for anyone who has been following this World Cup. The US has been, as expected, the tournament's leaders, but Phil Neville's team is not to be underestimated, especially with Bronze on that line-up. Neville insists she is "the best player in the world".
  • PRVW
Tonight's match features the number one-ranked USA taking on third-ranked England.
  • PRVW
The biggest surpirse in the line-up is definitely Megan Rapinoe's absence for USA. She must be injured or exhausted, surely. Christen Press takes her place on the left. Lindsey Horan meanwhile replaces Samantha Mewis in the midfield.
  • PRVW
Some big team news from both camps! England keeper Karen Bardsley is out with a hamstring injury. Carly Telford takes her place. Telford will be making only her second appearance in a big tournament, having debuted against Argentina in the group stage. Meanwhile Rachel Daly and Beth Mead replace Fran Kirby and Toni Duggan.
