Axel Witsel has revealed he is looking to leave Zenit this summer, and is eyeing a move to either the Premier League or Serie A.
The 27-year-old is a key player in the heart of the Russian giant's midfield, making 41 appearances in all competitions during the 2015-16 season.
However, although he has enjoyed his time in Russia, he believes it is time to move on, with England and Italy as his preferred destinations.
"Russia was a nice adventure, but it's time for me to change. I don't know whether I'll go to the Premier League or to Serie A," he told reporters.
"Italian football fascinates me and at 27 it would be the right move. Milan had looked for me, it's true, but that's a story from a long time ago."
The Belgium international is currently on international duty, and is adamant he will not focus on his club future until after the tournament in France.
"Now the only thing I'm thinking of is Euro 2016. The next step is to beat Sweden," he added.
