Premier League newcomers Brighton face a tricky home tie against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at the Falmer Stadium, whilst play-off winners Huddersfield face a trip to managerless Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, Tottenham will have to wait to make their Wembley league debut as they start the season on the road, with a long trip up North to Newcastle. Whilst none of the so-called 'big-boys' face off against each other, it promises to be an enthralling opening week-end.
The opening round of fixtures will take place on the week-end of August 12th 2017 and is as follows:
Arsenal-Leicester
Brighton-Manchester City
Chelsea-Burnley
Crystal Palace-Huddersfield
Everton-Stoke
Manchester United-West Ham
Newcastle-Tottenham
Southampton-Swansea
Watford-Liverpoool
West Brom-Bournemouth
The final weekend of the season could be make or break for many sides (or a damp squib like this season). The likely title contenders appear to have a very accomodating set of fixtures, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all facing either newly-promoted sides or teams that finished in the bottom half of last season's Premier League, the exception being Manchester City's visit to 8th placed Southampton.
The final round of fixtures will take place on the week-end of May 13th 2018 and is as follows:
Burnley-Bournemouth
Crystal Palace-West Brom
Huddersfield-Arsenal
Liverpool-Brighton
Manchester United-Watford
Newcastle-Chelsea
Southampton-Manchester City
Swansea-Stoke
Tottenham-Leicester
West Ham-Everton
