The Barcelona stars' nutritionist has revealed the secrets of Messi's diet.
Messi has lost three kilograms since teaming up with nutritionist Dr Giuliano Poser after the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
Dr Poser has revealed Messi's dietary tips with the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.
According to his nutritionist, the Argentine steers clear of sweets, bread and pasta. “Sugar. It is the worst thing for muscles,”, he told Mundo, “The less sugar he has the better.
“Refined flours are also a big problem, basically because today it is very difficult to find healthy wheat, [with] unpolluted [grains].”
Messi's play has been even better since changing his diet and he's scored a total of 98 goals in 102 games for Barcelona.
