Information revealed by 'L'Equipe' indicated that Verratti had met up with Nasser Al Khelaifi, though on Friday 'Le Parisien' clarified that the meeting had not been with the club's president, but with sporting director Antero Henrique.
The Italian, who has four years left on his contract and is being courted by Barcelona in particular, announced his plans to exit PSG.
The French club refuse to accept his demands, and they expect him to see out his contract. The Parisians have even gone as far as to offer the midfielder a new improved contract which would see him in the French capital for one additional season.
Marco Verratti, who was signed by PSG in 2012 and is now one of the symbols of Al Khelaifi's project, refuses those offers, which would allow Barcelona to intervene freely.
PSG are prepared to offer him a yearly salary of €12 million for him to stay, but the player's desire is to play for Barcelona.
