The German Kevin Trapp is impressed by PSG's new trainer Unuai Emery. Emery has integrated very fast and enjoys a good connection with his players.
Emeri, who was coaching Sevilla before, replaced Laurent Blac this summer.
The goalkeeper talks with 'Goal' about the club's aims for this year and their new coach:
"It’s going very well with Emery. It's like we have known each other for years. He is very open, he talks a lot with us and he is making jokes in French.
"We are working very hard in training to be ready for the new season. He almost never stops talking during the training sessions, but it's good.
"He knows what he wants. The players really understand what he wants. So we have smart players even if everything is not yet perfect in our game, in time we will get to do what the coach asks.
"Last year it was different because I came from Germany and I had to learn a new language. I arrived at a new club with a new team.
“For me it has been a lot of changes. Now I know the team, I know the club, I speak the language so for me, it's easier.
"It was my goal to learn French quickly when I arrived, because it is important to communicate to integrate.
"There were many things that happened at the same time for me and I think people do not think about that. There has been criticism, that's normal, because I have made mistakes, but the most important for me was to continue working. I try to avoid the press.
"We have seen already in the second half of the season that I improved. With time, I learned how to work with the club. I feel I have progressed.
"There is a big difference from my time in Frankfurt. I was very busy there, but at PSG it's all new, because you really do not have much to do in the game. I learned how to handle it. Now I know what will happen so I prepare myself.
"There were a lot of things to do off the field when I arrived. These things have gone so there remains only the on-pitch matters now. I'm glad all this happened, because that's how I think I can improve".
