According to El Mundo Deportivo, the youngster is the preferred choice of scouter Robert Fernandez to bolster Barcelona's defence in the summer transfer window.
The Catalan giants want to add a young player with wide margin of improvement who is technically skilled with the ball but at the same time does not come with an exuberant price tag attached.
In Fernandez's opinion, Sarr is the player who ticks all the boxes. Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked with him during the past months.
The young man played in the fourth French division until last summer, when NIce decided to bring him up to the senior team and coach Lucien Favre gave him a spot in the starting XI.
