The aforementioned source report that Barcelona are more than happy to offer this exchange, as they would be killing two birds with one stone: securing the services of Mesut Ozil whilst allowing Arda Turan to leave.
Although Philippe Coutinho is still Barcelona's number one target, the financial difficulties and tough negotiations with Liverpool have meant Ozil is very much on the radar of the Catalan giants, and they certainly view him as a potential January signing.
Negotiations between the two clubs will start at a price of £30m, which may well go down given the fact that the German midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season, and available on a free transfer from the end of June.
Ozil's signing would be significantly cheaper than that of Coutinho, and, as the 'Daily Star' point out, they could get rid of Arda Turan at the same time.
Now all Barca need is for Arsenal to decide whether Turan would fit into their plans, and then negotiations can begin...
