As reported by the Telegraph, Diego Costa will return to Chelsea on Monday. Despite ignoring all requests to report back to training so far, the 28-year-old is reportedly prepared to swallow his pride and return to Cobham.
Chelsea included the Brazilian in their 25-man squad for the Premier League, insisting they would not allow Costa's actions to force them into selling him back to Atletico Madrid.
The striker could face legal action after the Blues filed a £50m lawsuit against him, which is why he has decided to return to the club to take his punishment for going AWOL in a bid to sort out his future.
Chelsea and Abramovich have remained firm all summer, maintaining that they will not accept such behaviour from one of their players, and even fined Costa fortnightly while he was away in his hometown of Lagarto in Brazil.
The striker reportedly travelled to London on Friday to hold talks with Marina Granovskaia, and his return to the team could happen as soon as the beginning of next week.
