Several sources in the United Kingdom are reporting that Terry will not be offered a new contract at Chelsea with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
The decision will therefore bring an end to what will be a 19-year playing career with Chelsea, having made his debut for the club in 1998.
Terry's next move is unknown, but he has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League and in particular, with Luiz Felipe Scolari's Guangzhou Evergrande.
'The Times' is also reporting that Chelsea will offer their current skipper a non-playing role at the club, should the veteran defender call time on his playing career.
Terry has played 664 times for the Blues and scored 65 goals. The former England captain has also won four Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy, one Europa League title, five FA Cups and three League Cups in his time at Stamford Bridge.
