Speaking ahead of Saturday's El Clasico meeting with Real Madrid in Miami, the Uruguayan admitted that there had been an incident involving Neymar in training, saying: "It's true, something did happen but that's sometimes what happens in training."
"All the talk about Neymar right now, everything is magnified. Things like this can happen."
The former Liverpool man said that ultimately he is hoping Neymar chooses to stay in Catalonia. "It's a personal decision for him but of course we want him to stay," he explained.
Though he said that a statement from Neeymar would solve a lot of problems.
"As soon as he clarifies the situation it's better for us and him. He will have his say when he is ready and as a team-mate I will support him," said Suarez.
"Our relationship won't change. We want him to stay. He's one of the best players in the world.
It is interesting that Neymar's team-mates continue to defend him after the incident in training involving Nelson Semedo.
