The latest sponsorship deal will be with Japanese can manufacturing company 'Mazda' and it will be the next sponsor for the coming seasons. They will also officially decide the name of the league will will be announced next week, although it is thought that it will be called 'Liga Mazda.'
With the deal being finalized, it will also mean that the car company will not only sponsor the highest level of Spanish football, but also the lower leagues such as 'Segunda División.'
The length of the contract is still unknown as the final details are being put in place by Javier Tebas alongside José María Terol, the president of Mazda in Spain. However a pre contract was already in place since August.
The announcement marks the start of a new project in Spanish football which will see La Liga and Copa Del Rey matches being played outside of Spain for the first time ever, to try and cater and generate interest within emerging markets such a Japan and China.
