Ronaldo set to make history tonight in Sweden

Another historic night for the striker could be ahead of him. The Portugese forward is just one goal away from equaling Raul's record of scoring the most goals in the Champions League for Real Madrid. The legendary number 7 managed to score 66 goals in 130 games, while Ronaldo has reached 65 in 64 matches. Curiously both footballers played a season together during the 2009-10 campaign, and if Ronaldo scores tonight it will bring an added achievement: his 500th goal.

Right now he has scored 321 goals for Mardid, 118 for Manchester United, 5 for Sporting Lisbon and 55 for the Portugese national side. He is also incredibly close to reaching the summit of Madrid's greatest goalscorer ever (323) which was also set by Raúl.

Ronaldo will tonight come up against a well known opponent: Wiland. The Swedish goalkeeper knows Ronaldo all too well, having seen three goals fly past him in the 2013-14 Champions League campaign, and also the hat-trick Ronaldo scored against him at the World Cup.
