Roma have signed Sadiq Umar and Abdullahi Nura from Serie B side Spezia for a combined fee of €5 million.
Both players have signed four-year contracts with the Giallorossi after impressing while on loan at the club during the 2015-16 campaign.
19-year-old Umar, who scored two goals in six Serie A appearances for Roma last season, will offer Spalletti further attacking options with Edin Dzeko struggling to find his feet at the Stadio Olimpico , and is even expected to challenge the Bosnian for a starting place next season.
Nura,18, who plays at right-back, will likely feature predominantly for their youth side, who he helped to win the title last season.
