The game was something of a drab affair, with neither side able to break the other down or create a guilt-edge chance.
Speaking after the game, Pulis said: "It was two sides who cancelled each other out. We played different systems and it was a difficult game. We had two really good chances in the first half. Obiang has had that wonderful effort, but it was a game of few chances.
"West Ham are a good side and they have come and worked really hard today."
Pulis had special praise for one West Ham player in particular, saying: "Andy Carroll is such a handful."
"We have worked to nullify his threat but on his day he brings something very, very different. He can be a handful for any side.
Speaking about where West Brom go from here, the Welsman explained: "We still need to get the full group fit and ready to go. We could have done with Burke and Chadli and people like that in the group today. Jake has looked tired, more mentally, but we missed his energy. We are happy with a point."
