According to English publication 'The Mirror', Jose Mourinho's side have been forced to take a step back in their pursuit of Verratti.
The Portuguese is very interested in the former Pescara man as he looks to strengthen his midfield this summer but he is not prepared to let Martial go.
Verratti has emerged as Jose Mourinho's number one target, with Chelsea refusing to relent on their £50m valuation of Namaja Matic.
however, with the French giants demanding cash plus Martial in order to let Verratti leave, United's interest has cooled. Discussions are ongoing between the clubs but PSG have told the 'Red Devils' that there will be no deal without Martial.
Could PSG officials manage to convince Mourinho that the deal is in his best interests? Or will the United boss be forced to continue his search for midfield reinforcements?
