AC Milan are forced to either sell the youngster this summer or allow him to leave on a free transfer next year, so the situation in delicate to say the least.
The Italian club have suggested the player's agent is behind the sudden change of heart, with Adriano Galliani publicly blaming Mino Raiola.
The situation has even seen negative reactions from the Milan 'tifosi'. The 18-year-old has even been called a 'mercenary' by Italian supporters: in Italy's opening game of the Under-21 European Championship, the keeper was showered with fake bank notes from the fans, who have also taken to calling him 'Dollarumma'.
