Spurs host Jurgen Klopp's side this weekend after an impressive 1-1 draw with current European champions Real Madrid in the Champions League during midweek.
Hugo Lloris was brilliant in goal to help secure the historic points at the Bernabeu and the Tottenham boss believes the display shows his team's ability to compete with Europe's elite, as he turns his attention back to the league.
Pochettino said: "Now we are going to play like we played against Real Madrid.
"I think it's a very good experience for us to play every single game in the next three weeks.
"If you are going to play a final or a competition that commands a lot of energy... it's a period to learn a lot for us."
Tottenham will be hoping to make it four league wins in a row on Sunday, but Pochettino is anticipating a tough encounter against the Reds, after they held Manchester United to a goalless draw last week at Anfield.
"I think every single game is important," he added. "They're an amazing team with a great manager.
"Of course it will be a very, very tough game, but our mentality is to try to win. It's not only to play Sunday, we have the Carabao Cup against West Ham. That's another derby.
"We have a lot of good games, a lot of exciting games, but we are taking it step by step and now it's Liverpool.
"If we want to fight to win the title at the end of the season, it's so important to get the three points."
