Crystal Palace are likely to meet the release clause of England international Andros Townsend by submitting a bid of £13m for the winger.
The Eagles appear keen to bring in new players, especially after a poor finish to last season and have already bid around £31m for Marseille forward, Michy Batshuayi.
Townsend has ten England caps and is likely to want to return to the Premier League in order to increase his England chances.
Newcastle may also want to offload the player as he is alledgedly on £55,000 a week at the Magpies and would be one of the highest earning players in the Championship.
