Danny Mills said in a radio interview only a few Manchester United players are competitive and good. He believes United's new arrivals Pogba and Ibrahimovic are the team's outstanding players. Furthermore Mills named United's goalkeeper De Gea.
He criticized United by saying: "They've been very poor. Their recruitment has been poor, it's left them in a difficult state".
He continued: "How many of those United players would get into the top five or six sides? Pogba? Yes, I still think Zlatan would get in and also De Gea. Apart from that, I don't think there's many.
"[Marcus] Rashford is a great emerging talent, but he's not consistent; [Jesse] Lingard is a great emerging talent, but he's not consistent," he told 'BBC Radio 5 Live'.
United are likely to make more signings in January in order to escape from their crisis.
