Nottingham Forest have today appointed Philippe Montanier as their now head coach following the sacking of Dougie Freedman in March.
Forest owner Fawaz al-Hasawi has dismissed six managers since taking over the club in July 2012 and have struggled to make a push for the Premier League.
Last week, Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs was linked with the position but Nottingham Forest have decided to go for someone with more managerial experience.
Montanier has previously managed Rennes and Real Sociedad and Forest will be hoping that he can bring success to the City Ground. Before management, Montanier made over 300 career appearances for clubs including Toulouse, Nantes and St Etienne.
However, some may be concerned that he doe not possess any experience in England and may struggle in England's second tier.
Good appointment for forest?
