Alvaro Morata played practically his whole career for Real Madrid, until Conte signed him in 2014 for Juventus. He stayed two seasons in the Serie A and returned this summer to his former club.
The Spaniard has revealed that Antonio Conte tried this summer to sign him for Chelsea. He told' Sport Bild', that the Italian was willing to sign him for a high sum.
"It was a very good offer this time. I would have been the most expensive Spanish player ever. [But] Real said that they have me in their plans, and that was always a dream of mine", he said.
According to the 23-year-old, the Premier League side offered €70 million for him.
