James McClean has committed his future to West Bromwich Albion by signing a new two-year contract with the club.
The deal, which has the option of a further year included, means that the 27-year-old will remain at the Hawthorns until 2019 at least.
Commenting on the news, West Brom manager Tony Pulis was effusive in his praise of McClean and expressed his delight to see the Republic of Ireland international's "first class" attitude rewarded.
“James thoroughly deserves this and has worked hard to achieve it," Pulis told the club's official website.
"James’s attitude and commitment to the group is first class and I’m delighted to see that approach rewarded in this way".
The Baggies boss continued: "For what we paid, he's been a terrific signing for us.
"He's a good lad. He's not been in the team lately but his attitude in training and around the place... he's just a great kid.
"He's scatty but that's James, he's a good lad with it".
Former Sunderland winger McClean joined West Brom from Wigan Athletic in 2015 and has gone on to make 50 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
