Manchester United set price tag for Morgan Schneiderlin at £24m

The French midfielder has hardly made himself indispensable to Jose Mourinho, but that does mean United are willing to let him go on the cheap.

According to the Daily Mail, West Brom were the first to make an official offer for the 27-year-old, but their bid, believed to be in the area of £13m, was turned down.

Everton then came up with an offer of £19m but were also rejected, lending credibility to the notion that United will not sell Schneiderlin for less than what they had spent for him.

The Frenchman is none the less thought to be closer to Goodison Park at this point, as he had played for Ronald Koeman at Southampton and the Everton manager has apparently convinced his club to return with an improved offer.
