The world-record signing Paul Pogba re-joined Manchester United this summer for £89m from Juventus. The 23-year-old has been struggeling so far to justify his price tag but he is improving step by step.
The Frenchman scored in United's Europa League game against Fenerbahce two out of four goals and made his side win the match.
Mourinho, who criticized Pogba last week saying he expected more from him, hailed the youngster after the game. "Two days ago he was the worst player in the Premier League and 48 hours later he's phenomenal," said Mourinho.
"He needs time. I'm happy with his performance. He has what we need".
"I was in Italy and I know the characteristics, the pace and intensity. To be in Italy for four or five years and then come back to the Premier League, I was not expecting him to adjust in a click of fingers," he explained.
Pogba has scored so far three goals in ten appearances.
