Chelsea V Bayern Munich - As it happened
Thanks for joining us!
That's all from us, keep an eye out for out match report!
A good one for the neutral!
Unlike many pre-season games that was great to watch. Plenty more to come from both sides ahead of the new season too, I for on can't wait.
FT: Chelsea 2-3 Bayern Munich
Bayern took a three-goal lead courtesy of Rafinha and two goals from Thomas Muller, before Marcos Alonso and Michy Batshuayi hit back for Antonio Conte's side.
Full time!
The referee blows the whistle here and it's all over.
4 Minutes added on
Pasalic on for Fabregas
Could Chelsea get something out of this?
Bayern have certainly dropped deeper in the last 15 minutes or so, tired legs?
Chelsea 2-3 Bayern
Fabregas' corner from the left is flicked on by Alvaro Morata at the near post and Batshuayi arrives completely unmarked to prod the ball into an empty net. That's the Belgian's last action as he is replaced by Lewis Baker.
GOAL CHELSEA
Chance for Bayern
Substitute Dorsch has a go from the edge of the box following a Bayern counter and draws a save from Eduardo.
Eduardo on for Courtois
More changes
Tomori comes on for Alonso for Chelsea and immediately heads just wide at the far post. Ribery and Lewandowski have been withdrawn by Bayern.
Sanches tries his luck
The Portuguese shoots from distance but his effort fizzes just wide.
Drinks break
Another chance for Chelsea
Batshauyi holds the ball up well and lays it into the path of the onrushing Willian but his effort goes well over. Just seconds later, David Luiz pushes forward and sees a left footed effort from 25 yards bounce back off the post with the aid of a deflection.
Chelsea's turn now!
Alonso is played in with a ball over the top, he fires the ball back across goal and with the goal gaping the ball rebounds of Batshuayi's knees and into the path of a defender.
Another chance for Bayern!
Great feet again from Ribery on the edge of the box, he beats two men before playing in James, the Colombian gets there before David Luiz but Courtois beats his low shot away for a corner.
Close for Bayern!
Alonso is denied a shot by a last-ditch challenge at one end and the Germans fly straight down the other, Ribery is prevented from crossing and so pulls the ball back to James, whose left footed effort from the edge of the box is dragged just wide of the far post.
Bayern make 2 changes as well
Gotze and Pantovic come on for Rafinha and Tolisso.
Here they come
Renato Sanches blazes an effort over so Chelsea decide to use the opportunity to make a couple of changes. Morata and Luiz come on for Boga and Christensen.
Morata and David Luiz set to join the fray
Not the band...
Great chance again!
Ribery sets off on the break, leaving bodies in his wake. He gets to the edge of the Chelsea box and unselfishly find James but Gary Cahill gets across to block his shot and save Chelsea.
Waste
Bayern win the ball back and set off on the counter. They briefly outnumber Chelsea but after much dillying and dallying it comes to nothing.
What a chance for James!
The cross comes in from the left and the Real Madrid loanee is completely unmarked, he gets a good head to it but guides it narrowly wide of Courtois' right hand post. Great chance.
Ribery hits one "on the Scholes"
Coman gets to the byline down the right and stands the ball up to the edge of the box. Ribery can only blaze his volley over though.
Will we see Alvaro Morata soon?
Chelsea's new No 9 is on the bench.
Bayern start on the attack
Coman looks to swing in a cross from the right but it is well overhit. Just seconds later Tolisso takes aim on the half-volley from 30 yards but he spoons his shot well wide.
Change in shape for Bayern
It looks like James has moved behind Muller and Coman has gone out wide.
We're back underway!
Bayern make two changes
Kingsley Coman and Christian Fruchtl replace Robert Lewandowski and Tom Starke.
The players are back with us
No doubt Antonio Conte will be looking for a reaction in the second half here.
HT: Chelsea 1-3 Bayern
Bayern took a commanding 3-0 lead courtesy of Rafinha and 2 goals from Thomas Muller before Marcos Alonso pulled a goal back right on the stroke of half-time for the Blues.
Half-time!
The whistle goes here in Singapore.
Chelsea 1-3 Bayern
Chelsea clear a corner and set off on the counter, the original attack is cleared but Chelsea go again. Kante looks for Willian on the right but he lets the ball run for Moses. The wing-back crosses low and it is missed by everyone, except Marcos Alonso at the far post who lashes a shot back across Starke and into the far corner. Game on?
GOAL CHELSEA
There is time!
3 Minutes added on
Time for Chelsea to get a goal back?
Close for Cahill!
The Chelsea skipper meets Willian's corner from the right but his header drops just wide. Starke always looked confident that it was missing though.
Batshuayi has a go!
The Belgian spins on the edge of the box and fires a low left footed effort but it lacks real power and Starke is equal to it.
Keep it down!
Chelsea finally work a shooting opportunity but they waste it. Willian feeds Alonso on the left, who cuts inside and takes aim from the edge of the box with his right foot but he blazes well over.
No need for that in pre-season
Alonso fouls Rafinha by bundling him over with his shoulder and the Bayern man goes down holding his face despite the challenge getting nowhere near that area of his body.
Dangerous free-kick for Chelsea
Boga is bundled over by Martinez as he looks to burst forward. Set-piece specialist Willian is over it. But he can only find the wall.
Stat attack
No surprise that Bayern are dominating possession. It's 68%-32% in the German side's favour so far. They've made more passes than Chelsea as well.
Chelsea resorting to fouling
Another robust Challenge from Gary Cahill as Tolisso looks to spin away and counter.
Chence Chelsea!
No, really! A long ball forward from Fabregas looks to put Boga in behind. He gets there first but Starke does well to smother and the danger is cleared. Signs of life from Chelsea perhaps?
Drinks break
That's the half hour mark here in Singapore and Chelsea have not had the best time of it so far.
Ouch!
That looks painful for Friedl as he is caught by Moses on the instep. The Chelsea man looks frustrated and is booked for his troubles.
Chelsea 0-3 Bayern
Someone close down! Thomas Muller has the freedom of Singapore as he carries the ball forward, he looks up and hits a terrific strike from 25 yards with his right foot that beats Courtois all ends up. This is turning into a rout.
GOAL BAYERN
Just seconds after Kante gets back to stop Ribery from breaking the Germans score again.
Better from Chelsea
Willian stood out against Arsenal but has struggled to get on the ball so far. He finally does so and plays a nice one-two with Boga before dragging a shot from 20 yards wide. Some intent at least from the Blues.
Ribery looking as good as ever
The veteran winger is looking very dangerous here. He got the assist for the second and looks to have the beating of Cesar Azpilicueta down Chelsea's right.
Great chance Bayern!
Chelsea fail to clear and Bayern win the ball back in the middle of the park. The ball finds its way to Ribery on the left who cuts back and finds James unmarked at the far post. The Colombian has all the time in the world but he can only fire a volley way over the bar. Waste.
Chelsea struggling
The 'Blues' look incapable of stringing any passes together going forwards whereas theur German counterparts look dangerous every time they get the ball. Fabregas is spoken to for tripping Ribery as he looks to break, would've been a yellow in a normal game that.
Conte looks furious on the touchline
Barely 15 minutes gone and Chelsea trail 2-0 here in Singapore.
Chelsea 0-2 Bayern - Muller
Oh dear. Chelsea go two behind. Ribery beats his man on the left and heads to the by-line, Courtois comes out to smother but the Frenchman dinks the ball over the Belgian's head and back into the middle where Muller arrives to volley into an empty net from 6 yards.
GOAL BAYERN 2-0
Unlucky
Lewandowski bursts forward but a Chelsea defender gets a foot in just in the nick of time.
Not the start Chelsea will have hoped for
But that's what happens when you don't close players down. It has been quite a high tempo game so far, despite pre-match concerns about a slow pitch.
Chelsea 0-1 Bayern
Rafinha receives the ball just inside the Chelsea half and drives forward, when no-one comes to close him down he decides to try his luck from 25 yards and his low effort finds the far corner of Thibaut Courtois' goal. Great strike!
GOAL BAYERN
The Bavarians take the lead!
Should be a closely fought game today
They always say that the result isn't the important thing in pre-season but I guarantee there isn't a player on the pitch who wants to lose this one.
Chelsea start well
Some decent early possession and a patient-looking approach from Antonio Conte's men.
We're off!
Chelsea get us underway
Renato Sanches, discuss..
Probably the highest-rated young midfielder on the planet a year ago is now being linked with a loan move away from Bayern. What went wrong? At his age though there is plenty of time for his to turn things around.
The players are on the pitch
All very formal for what is effectively a friendly.
Injury update
Chelsea are without Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko who stayed behind to work on their fitness. Pedro has returned home with facial fractures following his clash with David Ospina against Arsenal. Antonio Rudiger has just returned from holiday and so is not involved. Whilst Kenedy has been sent home after some rather dubious Instagram posts. Think that covers everything.
