The Northern Irishman was charged with the offence because of his actions toward the referee following Jason Cummings' disallowed goal.
Replays showed that the goal should have stood, which would have seen Hibs through to the next round of the Europa League qualifiers as the Scottish side were eventually knocked out of the two-legged tie on penalties.
The Edinburgh club will appeal the ban and have issued the following statement: "Hibernian are aware of the sanction imposed by UEFA on head coach Neil Lennon and are in the process of appealing the suspension.
"The club will be making no further comment at this stage".
