Watford fended off a £37.5m bid from Shanghai SIPG for Ighalo last season, but Chinese clubs are once again showing interest in the Nigeria international, according to 'Sky Sports'.
This transfer window, it is SIPG's city rivals Shanghai Shenhua who are interested in the Watford forward.
Shenhua are managed by former Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, who will therefore be no stranger to the English game.
Ighalo enjoyed a brilliant debut season in the Premier League last campaign, scoring 16 goals in England's top-flight. However, this campaign the 27-year-old has struggled and has only one Premier League goal to his name.
With Ighalo struggling for form, the Hornets may just be open to offers for the striker, especially if they're around the £37.5m mark which Shanghai SIPG were willing to pay for him last season.
