Zenit forward Hulk says he is enjoying the best form of his career and is ready to reproduce his club form on the international stage.
Last month the former Porto man returned to the national team to make his first appearances for Brazil since last year’s World Cup, finding the net in victories over Costa Rica and USA.
And after having arrived in Santiago for this week’s World Cup qualifier with Chile, the 29-year-old has signalled his intent to fire the Selecao to the perfect start as they being the long road to Russia 2018.
"I'm enjoying the best form of my career. Now it's time to do it for the Selecao. I'm not afraid of the challenge,” Hulk, who has hit six goals in 11 league games this season, told reporters.
The former Porto man was one of the stars of September’s Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour double-header, dislodging Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino from the starting line-up.
He is once again set to lead the line on Thursday as Dunga’s side face perhaps their trickiest fixture as they kick off the gruelling qualification process against the reigning South American champions.
