As well as making the two biggest signings of the summer (Neymar and Mbappe), Paris Saint-Germain were also at the heart of the blunder of the transfer window.
At around 19:00 local time, the Parisian club announced Goncalo Guedes' move to Valencia. The media, seeing the information published on the club's website, deemed the news to be official... but at around 22:00, PSG changed their plans.
The French club posted the following on Twitter: 'We have loaned Goncalo Guedes to Stoke City with no buy-out option. We wish the Portuguese player all the best'. An announcement that differed sharply from his alleged 'transfer' to Valencia.
However, it seems it will finally be the La Liga outfit who will benefit from his services next season.
