De Bruyne beats Hazard and Courtois to Best Belgian Player award

De Bruyne was presented the award by France and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who recently assumed the role of assistant coach on the Belgian national team.

The 25-year-old playmaker is now in his second season at City as he joined in summer 2015 and has scooped the award both years that he has spent in the Premier League.

Hazard was second in votes and Courtois came in third, while Liverpool striker Divock Origi and Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld, in fourth and fifth place, respectively, competed a top-5 consisting entirely of players who ply their tarde in the Premier League.
