The Belgian joined in with a number of drills with his team-mates for the first time since breaking his ankle while on international duty with Belgium back in June.
The winger's involvement doesn't mean that he'll be available for selection in the immediate future, with Antonio Conte last week admitting that it is hard to put an exact date on when the player will return but it will certainly come as good news for the Italian following Chelsea's disappointing defeat to Burnley on the opening day.
Joining Hazard in training was French international midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has yet to pull on a Chelsea shirt following his £40m move from Monaco, having undergone knee surgery earlier this summer.
Neither player will be available for Sunday's London derby against Tottenham, for which Chelsea will also be wihtout captain Gary Cahill and midfielder Cesc Fabregas after they were sent off against Burnley.
Spanish winger Pedro is also a doubt after he sat out training with an ankle problem.
