Aston Villa draw Wolverhampton yesterday 1-1 and Villa's new boss is disappointed with the result.
Steve Bruce said: "To be fair their attitude was great and the blocks and saves we made late on in the game you could not fault, but we tired badly which is alarming.
"We had Micah Richards and Tommy Elphick struggling with injuries which affected us. We had to make defensive substitutions which prevented us changing the game," he said.
He added: "It is fair to say that some players could be in better condition, but I have to say that the hardest part of my managerial career is getting over relegation.
"We have now won only four games in 55 which is an alarming statistic. It is my job to find a winning formula and a formula to be successful in the Championship," he said.
