Hatem Ben Arfa will not be renewing his contract at Nice and will be seeking a new club as of the end of June according to the club's president Jean-Pierre Rivere.
The French winger has had somewhat of a jekyll and hyde career, unstoppable at his best and mightily frustrating at his worst. The skillfull Frenchman burst on to the scene with Lyon before joining Marseille. He started his Marseille career off well, scoring six goals in 11 matches. However, such levels of form could not be maintained and he then joined Newcastle in August 2010.
He struggled for consistency at Newcastle but showed glimpses of his ability, including running more than half the length of the pitch before slotting the ball home.
In 2014, he joined Hull City on a season-long loan but it didn't work out for the winger and his contract was terminated by manager Steve Bruce on 4 January 2015.
Following his departure from Hull, he joined Nice where he regained his best form. He scored 18 goals in Ligue 1 last season but club president Jean-Pierre Rivere said he will not be staying at Nice.
Sevilla are rumoured to be interested, as are Southampton. A move to Southampton would possibly see him reunited with former Nice manager Claude Puel, who has been linked with the vacant Southampton manager's job.
