Barcelona are looking to find a fitting replacement for Pedro as quickly as they can, and rumors in Spain are that Luis Enrique alongside his technical team are looking towards Philippe Coutinho who they believe would be Pedro's ideal replacement.
The Reds midfielder has been getting better year by year and is quickly becoming one of the most promising players in world football, so Barca could expect a hefty price tag.
Normally Coutinho would be a top priority for the transfer market next summer, the plague of injuries alongide FIFA's sanctions, could mean that Barcelona will look to sign him in the next transfer window in January. The transfer will most likely depend on if Liverpool's new manager gives Coutinho chances to play within the team.
Coutinho neither confirmed nor denied Neymar's request for him to join Barcelona, and only said that now wasn't the right time to be talking about transfers. "I haven't be able to hear what Neymar said. We are very close friends, but now is not the right time to talk about that. I'm very concentrated on having a good season with Liverpool and that's the only thing that interests me right now."
In either case, the Brazilian is well aware that Barcelona are keeping a close eye on him, something that he witnessed first hand during last season. At just 23-years-old he has become one of the most exciting players to develop over the last few years.
