According to 'Sport', Barcelona's sporting director Robert Fernandez was watching the Atletico-Bayern on Wednesday, a match in which Carrasco played a huge part, scoring the only goal of the game.
After watching his outstanding performance against Carlo Ancelotti's side, the Barcelona have reignited their interest in the Belgian and it seems as though they will meet his release clause (€40m) in the next summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old has got off to a good start to the season, but has struggled for goals and hadn't found the net until his goal against Bayern Munich.
His swagger, pace and wing play is just as good as last season and he would bring something different to Luis Enrique's squad, who don't possess any player like the Belgian forward.
However, Atletico are hoping to tie him down to a new contract with an increased release clause, which could prove to be a stumbling block for the Catalan club.
Luis Enrique wants him and Robert Fernandez is a big admirer, meaning there will almost definitely be some kind of approach from Barca.
