Spanish publication 'Mundo Deportivo' reports that the Catalan giants have their eye on RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner as they look for Luis Suarez' long-term successor.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a sensational breakthrough season last time out, scoring 21 goals in 32 appearances for the German side as they qualified for the Champions League by finishing second in the Bundesliga.
Werner has continued his fine form so far this season, scoring five goals in six Bundesliga games, as well as establishing himself as a key player for his national side with six goals in eight appearances so far.
Given Suarez's indifferent start to the new campaign and his advancing years, Ernesto Valverde has opted to step up the club's search for a replacement, with Werner their top target.
Would the German be a good signing for the Catalans?
