The England international is expected to start Tottenham's Champions League dead rubber against APOEL on Wednesday as he looks to find some form and confidence after what has been an underwhelming start to the season by his high standards.
Much like Spurs, Alli has saved his best performances for the Champions League so far this term and will be hoping for another performance like the one he turned in against Real Madrid at Wembley on Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Alli admitted that he hasn't been at his best of late, but insisted that he doesn't need telling when his performances aren't up to scratch.
"I think I am my own biggest critic," he explained. "Every time I know when I'm not playing well and if it's not going well for me, it's important that I keep working hard and trying every day to learn and improve as a player.
"So I think it's been a good opportunity for me to learn more about myself as a player and as a person, so I'm looking forward to it and I've got to keep enjoying it."
Spurs themselves have disappointed of late, failing to win in their last four Premier League games and picking up just two points in the process, though Alli insists that there is nothing strange about the club's loss of form.
"It's not unusual for a team to have a dip in form," he said.
"There's nothing to worry about for us. We've got a great team, a great manager, great staff, so we're looking forward to getting into the next game and getting going."
